Weekly Update: December 3rd, 2018
Happy last week of classes!
It's hard to believe this semester is soon coming to a close. There are lots of Christmas festivities to be had before we head home for break though, so here's what's up this week!

Monday: Pop Up Events
Tuesday: Christmas Tree Lighting - 7pm @ Student Center Wednesday:
Christmas Timeout - 9pm @ Little Theater - Hot chocolate available starting at 8:30 (bring your own mug)!
WNL - 10:30pm @ Emerson Auditorium - Broc Mason and David Kohagen hosting!
Thursday: Merry Brickmas! 7pm @ Brick House - Come for a chance to win a 40” flat screen TV, drone, polaroid camera, thermo flask bottles and more!
Friday: Ice Skating - Sessions from 6-7:30pm and 8-9:30pm @ Caldwell Indian Creek Plaza - Show your NNU ID and skate for FREE! Make a night of it and walk around Caldwell’s Winter Wonderland light display!
Christmas Toy Drive
STAND Club and AMA are holding a toy drive! There are giving trees outside of the Dex and they will be accepting donations through December 7th. Here are the details:
- There are tags for all ages!
- All gifts must be under $20!
- Drop these items off when you see club members by the trees at mealtimes OR up in the SGA offices where there's a collection bin!
- For those that would like to donate but do not have transportation, STAND will be giving rides to the store on December 7th at 3 pm. They'll be going to Walmart to fill any remaining gift tags and all are welcome!
‘Tis the SWEason! The Society of Women Engineers is having their second annual Christmas party tonight, 7-9pm in Jackson Lecture hall. They’ll have games, prizes, snacks, and lots of festive fun!
Jingle Senate is THIS Wednesday! Join us in the instructional lab for coffee and cocoa, Santa hats, legislation, and Christmas spirit! 7:30 pm, see you there.
We'll be going over budget allocations for spring 2019 and hearing from the Computer Club and Sigma Tau Delta!
Creative Writing Club
The Creative Writing Club will be having a Christmas cookie party on Saturday December 8th at noon in the last study room on the first floor of the Library. Come on over for yummy cookies and Christmas themed writing prompts!
Women’s basketball game SATURDAY @ 7pm Indoor track meet SATURDAY at Idaho center!
Attention Accounting Students: Internship Credit Opportunity!
Our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is approaching! If you're interested in being part of this, contact Accounting Club Presidents Kyle James and Griffin Peppley, or club advisor, Dr. Mollie Sweet! For accounting students, this program fulfills internship credits required for graduation. All participants must at least be a sophomore.
