Weekly Update: September 17th, 2018

Happy Monday!

Here's what's happening this week.

Freshman Class Elections:

Freshman class council campaigns are in full swing! FRESHMAN: Be paying attention to those running and be sure to attend election chapel on Friday. Ballots will be sent to your email and remain open all day Friday.


Outdoor volleyball begins this week, with games on Tuesday and Thursday from 4-7pm! Any items lost during intramurals can be picked up from Skye Johnson during his office hours (M/W: 9-10am, T/R: 11-12pm).


This week chapel speakers AJ and Chelsea Fry will be sharing and Katie Largent is leading worship! Come at 8:45 for pre-service prayer, worship begins at 9pm!


Senate is Wednesday @ 7:30pm in the Instructional Lab (in the library), and all are welcome! This week, Alpha Epsilon Delta (our pre-health honor society) will be presenting, and senate will be talking about the International Justice Mission's club status.

Chapel this Friday will be taking place with your class, and hosted by your class chaplains! Here's where to go:

Freshman - Brandt Center (Election Chapel)

Sophomores - Brick House

Juniors & Seniors - Little Theater

Peer Mentors: Need a Brain Break?

This week, Peer Mentors are hosting 'Brain Break' events to help students relax and destress. Come join them at the Quad for yoga and meditation sessions. Times are as follows:

Monday: yoga @ 6pm

Tuesday: meditation @ 7pm

Wednesday: yoga @ 7pm

Thursday: meditation @ 7pm

Kettle Card HIGHLIGHT of the Week: Stella's!

Each week we like to highlight one of the businesses that are partnering with NNU by offering Kettle Card Deals during the 2018-2019 school year. These deals are NOT limited to the weeks the business is highlighted, but offered all year! You'll be able to find a list of each of the participating businesses in the Student Center SGA display box starting this week. This week's highlight is Stella's Ice Cream, who is offering a 10% discount on any order to NNU students with the Kettle Card. Support this local business by heading their way today!
