Weekly Update: November 26th, 2018

Happy Monday!

Hope you had a wonderful break and are coming back ready to take on the rest of the semester. Here's what's going on this week!

Yearbook Photos

Yearbook pictures are this week! Tuesday and Wednesday during lunch in the club corner of the student center.There will be snacks and raffle prizes (including a new pair of Beats X Wireless Earphones). If you can't make these days, there will be another opportunity next semester.


Timeout is back this week! Shay Christianson, Katie Largent, and team are leading worship, and Shannon Seward is speaking. Pre-service prayer starts at 8:45, and service starts at 9.

Women's Basketball Games

Games on Thursday @ 7pm and Saturday @ 7pm! The team is 6-0 and on fire!! They would love for you to come and support them this week at the games!!!

Senior Class Event: Donut Stress!

Attention Seniors! Your class council is holding a "Donut Stress" Event on Thursday, 7-9pm in the Instructional Lab! Stop by the library for free donuts, coffee, and hot cocoa!

Week of Cheer

Week of Cheer is coming! Be on the lookout for a schedule soon, but book Dec. 3rd-7th on your calendar for fun Christmassy activities galore!

Swing Dance Sock Hop

The Swing Dance Club is having a Christmas Sock Hop on Friday, November 30th from 8:00-9:30pm in the Helstrom Lecture Hall. Wear your favorite pair of Christmas socks! There will be a Christmas movie following the dance at 9:30, so bring blankets! There also will be free snacks and live music by Jazz Revival. NNU Ninja Warrior Challenge

This Sunday, Dec. 2nd at 2:30pm in the JSC, the AMA club and entrepreneurship class is holding a fundraiser for orphans and widows in India. Round up a group of 2-3 friends and get ready to compete in a series of ninja worthy challenge! Winners will receive prizes and the title of the first NNU Ninja Warrior Champion. The annual FCA Christmas Party @ BSU Huddle is taking place December 3rd! If you're interested, contact Justin Higgins or Corrinah Schafer for more information!

AMA Christmas Toy Drive

Starting next week, the AMA Club will be holding a Christmas Toy Drive. Watch for more details and for their Christmas Tree to go up in the Student Center!

Service Opportunity: STAND Club

The STAND Club is going back to Valley Women & Children's Shelter this coming Saturday evening. We would love volunteers to help serve dinner, do crafts with the kids, and hold a short chapel service for the ladies! Email Aaron Rogers at aaronrogers@nnu.edu if you're interested!

Club Highlight: Smash Club

NNU Smash exists to offer students a break from their studies and safe environment to healthily relieve stress, while building community and comradery through the gaming franchise known as Super Smash Bros. They meet every Saturday from 1-4pm in the Jackson Bros Lecture Hall!

Community Event: Hip Holiday Market at the Flying M

The Flying M in Downtown Nampa is hosting their annual Hip Holiday Craft Market Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9am-5pm. This is a perfect time to go shopping and find fun, unique, handmade gifts for the holiday season. Grab a friend, get a hot cocoa, and look around the holiday market!
