ASNNU Senate: September 5th, 2018
Call to Order: 7:33pm
Opening Prayer: Senator Nance
Approval of the Agenda: Sen. Stuhr motioned to amend the agenda to move the swearing in of new senators to be after the approval of last session’s minutes. Second by Sen. Mack. 8 of 8 approval to amend.

Swearing in of New Senators: Chief Justice MacDonald swore in Sen. Largent.
Gallery Business: Grant Miller shared his excitement for the year and encouraged those present to be connecting with freshmen who might be interested in Senate. Shared that his initial impression of the freshman class is awesome after spending time at freshman retreat.
Brick House Report: Micah Tranch reminded Senate about the Brick House’s first Campfire Hangout happening Thursday, and thanked the Senators who passed the bill to allot money to the Brick House for their renovations over the summer.
SGA Officer Reports: Each SGA Executive Officer gave a report of what is currently happening in regards to their position. Social VP MacDonald mentioned Broom Hockey is next Friday, September 14th at 10pm, followed by a midnight movie. Business Manager Rick clarified that the numbers are not all correct on the subfund report, as all of the auditing has not been complete. Correct numbers will be posted soon and she will then send out a read-only link to a spreadsheet with all the subfunds. Club Coordinator Nobbs talked about the Club Fair happening next weekend, Saturday, September 15th from 1-3 by the soccer field. Athletic Liaison Mahowald reminded those listening to be encouraging students to attend home volleyball and soccer games next week. Executive VP Akkerman talked about Freshman Class Council Elections. Signups go up on September 10th, and reminded listeners to keep encouraging freshman to sign up.
Committee Reports: Judicial Committee had nothing to report. Ways and Means Committee had nothing to report. Campus Life Committee had nothing to report.
